From what I have seen of Ringuette is that he is a skilled defenseman that still needs to come into his body. He stands at 6.00 180lbs. but really needs to bulk up over the off-season if he is going to be successful in the OHL next season.

As for other players that could potentially go early in the second round on the back end, it starts to become very tough to predict. There are Luke Mercer and Jesse Graham from the Toronto Nationals that could be players selected in the top 40. Mercer is a good two-way defenseman, but needs to work on his skating over the summer, while Graham has an offensive flair, but is a bit undersized for a defenseman standing at 5.11 145lbs.

There are probably two or three more defensemen that I could fit into the top 30, but really Pelech (if he drops), Ringuette, Mercer, and Graham are likely the top candidates.

Thanks for the question Ryan.

I haven’t heard anything regarding Pelech that would indicate he wouldn’t report to Sarnia with their second round pick. Ringuette could be another option if he’s still on the board at that point.

Alright thanks, We had Matt Pelech for a while, but he requested a trade, then rumor was Sarnia attempted to acquire Michael but he refused, so wasn't sure if there was a negative opinion against Sarnia by the whole family, or it was just assumed bigger than it was.

What do you know about Ringuette, or of any other guys that went unlisted on your top 21 that might be a high 2nd rounder at the defensive position?

Nieves is definitely not going to be with the NTDP next year as he has rejected the notion of going there. I think if he's drafted by one of the OHL teams who normally get those type of kids to report, he could be in Major Junior next year. Otherwise, expect him in the USHL somewhere, depending on who selects him.

As for Ebert, yeah, from what I know, he's playing the NCAA card pretty strong. Like Nieves, if he goes to the right team, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the OHL one bit, but he'll definitely have some options. I have heard from a couple of sources that his marks are not the greatest, so that would be something he would need to address if he wants to take the NCAA route.

Very nice. I believe Nieves is committed to Michigan U. Is he going to decommit from that, and usntdp?

How about Ebert, I heard he will be top for 2012 draft and will be lower here. Is that because he probably wont go to the OHL?

I'm actually very interested in who you think might show up at #23 for Sarnia. Galchenyuk seems like a pretty sure bet, and Sarnia could really use a potential top 2 defenceman.. or at th e very least top 4 out of this draft. Any chance another Pelech might report to the Sting, or do you know of any Defencemen that might drop to 23?
