Jaden Schwartz was on display against the Youngstown Phantoms this weekend, and the Wilcox, Saskatchewan native was quick to show why some scouts are starting to consider him as a first round pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft

St. Michael’s Buzzers star Lucas Lessio was on display in Newmarket and came as advertised with a goal and an assist in the game. Along with the highly touted 2011 prospect, some NCAA commits also had strong games.

A tight game between two of the better teams in the WHL provided a showcase for several highly regarded NHL Prospects. In particular, the upstart Portland Winterhawks feature a vast array of high quality talent that will be available for the 2010 and 2011 NHL Entry Drafts.

Another great OHL match-up between the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors and London Knights featured many NHL prospects on display, including budding start Nazem Kadri, the seventh overall selection in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Last Saturday’s match-up between the Barrie Colts and Erie Otters featured a plethora of NHL prospects on display. The game was a bit of a shootout with Barrie winning it by a 7-4 final, but we’ll take a look at how some of these guys did.
