46. LW Anton Slepyshev Salavat UFA
Date of Birth: May 13, 1994 Height: 6.02 Weight: 182 Shot: Left

Was rated as a Top 30 prospect by TSR for the 2012 NHL Entry Draft before going undrafted... Showed great progression as a full-time KHL player this year scoring 7 goals in limited minutes... Possesses a big frame with a high skill level and ability to create offense using his array of skills... Would have greatly benefited from a better showing at the World Juniors... Concerns about staying in Russia will likely hurt his draft stock again.

47. D Jan Kostalek Rimouski Oceanic
Date of Birth: February 17, 1995 Height: 6.00 Weight: 182 Shot: Right

10th Overall Pick in the 2012 CHL Import Draft made a strong transition to the QMJHL this year... Defense first player who has quick feet and an active stick that makes up for a lack of dominating size and strength... Can be prone to over committing against the play trying to be too aggressive on the puck... Adept puck mover but has limited offensive upside from a production stand point.

48. C Ryan Fitzgerald Valley (EJHL)
Date of Birth: October 19, 1994 Height: 5.09 Weight: 170 Shot: Left

Late birthday '94 was the MVP at the inaugural USA Top Prospects game where he really opened some eyes... Undersized centre is a pitbull who brings it every shift and is very difficult to play against... Impressive willingness to initiate contact and a tenacious checker... Offense is tough to gauge given the fact he played in the EJHL at 18 and he proved to be guilty of playing as an individual in the offensive zone... Set to attend Boston College which will allow an NHL team to be patient with him.

49. D Chris Bigras Owen Sound Attack
Date of Birth: February 22, 1995 Height: 6.01 Weight: 190 Shot: Left

Refined defenseman who logged heavy minutes with Owen Sound and rarely was caught out of place... Really lets the game come to him and rarely tries to do too much, always playing within his means... Took a positive step forward this year offensively, showing more offensive poise and an ability to handle PP duties... Safe pick but we question how much upside he has at the pro level.

50. D Shea Theodore Seattle Thunderbirds
Date of Birth: August 3, 1995 Height: 6.02 Weight: 175 Shot: Left

One of the better offensive defensemen available in the 2013 NHL Draft... High-end puck mover who makes great reads and has the ability to execute enticing stretch passes... Projects to have very good PP upside as someone who can run an overload or umbrella power play with his puck skills and quick movement... Defensive game is a major question mark as he disengages at times and is content to stay away from the physical side of things... More of an upside pick but Theodore has the potential to be a capable NHL defenseman.

51. C Taylor Cammarata Waterloo Blackhawks
Date of Birth: May 13, 1995 Height: 5.06 Weight: 160 Shot: Left

Comes to Newark after a well decorated season where he was the top scorer in the USHL in only his 2nd season... Diminutive forward has a Top 5 skill-set but unfortunately really lacks the size and strength to be a surefire NHL player... Skill level is comparable to any player in this draft as Cammarata is a puck wizard with an ability to make his linemates better... Improved as a goal scorer this year and is an efficient shooter... Will be an interesting player to monitor on draft day to see what NHL teams make of his value.

52. D Michael Downing Dubuque Fighting Saints
Date of Birth: May 19, 1995 Height: 6.03 Weight: 192 Shot: Left

Downing did not take a major step forward in his second season in Dubuque but we believe his value may be getting lost in translation... As a 17-year-old he was a critical player on the Fighting Saints' blueline where he rarely let the team down... Downing is a good skater for his size with good forward and backwards speed... Can be exposed a bit with lateral transitions which is an area to work on... Needs to continue to elevate his level of physical play which will allow him to continue his path towards being a defensive defenseman.

53. RW Zach Nastasiuk Owen Sound Attack
Date of Birth: March 30, 1995 Height: 6.01 Weight: 185 Shot: Right

Nastasiuk did a great job finding a role as a reliable player for the Attack this year while en route to notching 20 goals... Rangy winger has a great understanding of the game and has evolved into a complete player who is a key PK player as well... North/South style of player who plays a pretty simple offensive game... Has an above average shot and should see further bumps in goal totals in Years 3 and 4... Sluggish feet and low endurance with his skating are the major red flags.

54. G Tristan Jarry Edmonton Oil Kings
Date of Birth: April 29, 1995 Height: 6.02 Weight: 180 Shot: Left

Spent the season backing up Laurent Brossoit but did a remarkable job in doing so... Has a unique throwback style of goaltending as a hybrid style of goaltender... Will benefit from an increased workload as he is sometimes indecisive about challenging shooters... With Comrie's hip injury, it would not be a surprise to see Jarry potentially surpass him on draft day if NHL teams are not sold on the health of Comrie.

55. D Brett Pesce New Hampshire (NCAA)
Date of Birth: October 31, 1994 Height: 6.03 Weight: 170 Shot: Right

6-foot-3 defenseman played a full slate this year with New Hampshire in the NCAA as a late birthday '94... Like many of the defensemen in the 2nd round range, Pesce thrives playing an economical game... Does a good job getting his body into shooting and passing lanes and has an active stick and good awareness of the play... Makes a fine first pass but doesn't possess any real offensive component to his game... Needs to fill out his frame the next couple of seasons before jumping to pro hockey.

56. C Marc-Olivier Roy Blainville-Boisbriand Armada
Date of Birth: November 5, 1994 Height: 6.01 Weight: 180 Shot: Left

Took his game to the next level this year with the Armada with a breakout season that culminated with a very impressive playoff showing where he was 2nd in team scoring with 19 points... Has emerged as a versatile forward that can play in any situation the coach requires... Shows strong upside as a two-way player, already displaying tenacity on the backcheck and maintaining strong position... Roy's game still has a lot of room for growth which makes him an attractive option in the 2nd half of Round 2.

57. C Ryan Kujawinski Kingston Frontenacs
Date of Birth: May 30, 1995 Height: 6.02 Weight: 185 Shot: Left

Aptly described using the dreaded 'enigma' descriptor... Kujawinski possesses the physical skills of a 1st round pick but has proven to be wildly inconsistent at the best of times... Very strong skater with a heavy shot and impressive ability to overpower defenses... Game lacks passion at times and he is prone to having games where he is almost invisible... Has seen time at both Centre and the Wing as Kingston desperately tries to figure out which position is better for long-term success.

58. C William Carrier Cape Breton Screaming Eagles
Date of Birth: December 20, 1994 Height: 6.01 Weight: 198 Shot: Left

You know it's a long season for your team when Carrier led Cape Breton in scoring despite playing only 34 games after an ankle injury cut his season short... Has the frame and style of play to be a power forward at the NHL level on the wing... Carrier has a heavy shot and has shown that he can produce offensively as a catalyst... Footwork is rocky and needs improvement... A bit rough around the edges but has some intriguing potential moving forward.

59. RW Sergey Tolchinsky SSM Greyhounds
Date of Birth: February 3, 1995 Height: 5.09 Weight: 160 Shot: Right

Like Cammarata, Tolchinsky is a player who has high-end skill but a lack of size and strength are valid concerns for NHL teams... Had a very productive first season in North America where he dazzled with his puck skills and showed that he's not afraid to compete in physical games... Has the ability to control the pace of play and keep the defense on its heels whenever he has the puck... Needs to show a better commitment to the defensive zone.

60. G Philippe Desrosiers Rimouski
Date of Birth: August 15, 1995 Height: 6.01 Weight: 182 Shot: Left

Had a great season with Rimouski where he earned starting duties early and parlayed his success into an extremely strong showing at the U18's... Has adequate size for a goaltender and maximizes it with a technically sound hybrid style of play... Needs to do a better job of handling rebounds and traffic shots as he is prone to scrambling.
